How long can the batteries run the system?
We can customize a system with any battery run time you need. Standard configurations for grid connected system are between 3, 6 and 12 hours depending on the loads we need to run. Keeping in mind however that besides fridges few other loads are required to run for more than 3 - 6 hours/day. For generator/recharged systems the minimum recommended battery bank size is eight hours, so that you can keep your generator turned off all night. (This type of "quiet period" is an standard, field-adjustable feature on Trace SW Series systems.) Systems that include solar panels for recharging should have larger battery banks in order to take full advantage of available sunshine. For those who rely heavily on generator as their main source of power to run pumps, household appliances and other, Trace inverters are the best solution yet. It will cut down the running hours and costs of the generators which would otherwise be running for long hours just because some appliances like a light bulb might be used within that period.
